The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at HBKU, seeks applications for the position of Senior Digital Outreach Specialist. The applicant will develop, plan, and execute the strategic digital outreach for the ‘Digital Sirah’ project and other CIS web pages, in both Arabic and English languages, utilizing modern means including website and social media for effective audience outreach.

Job Role Description

  • Manage current websites including Digital Sirah, CILE, Maker Majlis, IBIR, and any other related future webpages, platforms, and websites.
  • Develop a consistent and effective outreach strategy using digital tools such as the website, social media, and livestream, among others, to engage the maximum number of online users.
  • Manage, edit, adapt content, and implement the respective CIS and HBKU brand guidelines.
  • Oversee the spreading of CIS#s vision in English and Arabic through website and social media outreach, to engage the maximum number of online users.
  • Manage the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various online platforms, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, and SEO/SEM.
  • Analyze digital marketing performance metrics, track KPIs, and use data-driven insights to optimize campaigns and initiatives.
  • Manage the budget for digital outreach efforts and allocate resources effectively to maximize outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging digital marketing technologies and recommend and implement innovative strategies as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other departments within CIS for content creation and design, and with HBKU IT to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage online reputation, responding to customer feedback and comments in a professional and timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners, influencers, and industry contacts to enhance our digital presence.
  • Advise CIS senior management on the most effective digital outreach strategies based on his /her updated knowledge of the market and social media industry.
  • Help with the development and management of any future webpages within CIS.
  • Monitor and review the weekly, monthly, and yearly outcomes of the digital outreach strategies implemented and provide updated reports.
  • Adhere to the university#s communications-related strategies.
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master’s preferred.
  • 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience.
  • Experience in the Content Management System (CMS), Drupal, and communication codes of social media.
  • Good understanding of various marketing strategies, plans, and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to logically and persuasively outline and present ideas, and specifications through oral communications and writing.
  • Web marketing, eBusiness, community management on social media, and tech skills that fit with all the required software & hardware tasks.
  • Awareness of project management principles.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, and to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
